Para x Tempo: Launching Stablecoin-Ready Wallet Infrastructure

Para x Tempo: Launching Stablecoin-Ready Wallet Infrastructure

We’re excited to announce Para’s support for Tempo as it launches its testnet. Tempo is a new Layer-1 blockchain incubated by Stripe and Paradigm, purpose-built for stablecoins and real-world payments. It delivers predictable fees, sub-second finality, and global payment rails on a neutral, decentralized platform. As Tempo’s testnet goes live, Para ensures developers are ready from day one.

Tempo adds meaningful upgrades for developers through TIP-20 tokens, native account abstraction via Tempo Transactions, and a gas-model that allows fees to be paid in any stablecoin. Users never need a chain-native token to act, which removes a large source of friction in blockchain onboarding.

With Para, this creates an extremely smooth UX: wallets are usable immediately, every transaction can be paid directly in the user’s stable balance, and developers no longer need custom fee sponsorship or meta-transaction systems.

Real-world payments are complex, and a fast, secure wallet experience is the foundation of adoption: Para provides that foundation.

Spin up embedded wallets in minutes

Para’s universal wallet SDK makes it easy to support Tempo from day one. Developers can embed fully functional non-custodial wallets inside their app with just a few lines of code, with no backend servers needed. All of this happens behind the scenes: users get a wallet automatically when they sign up, without ever leaving your application to download browser extensions or having to save seed phrases.

  • Flexible login options: Users can sign in with email, phone (SMS OTP), Google, Apple, Discord, or even an external wallet like MetaMask. Para supports a broad range of Web2 and Web3 login methods out-of-the-box to instantly create a Tempo-ready wallet for every user. No crypto experience required.
  • Seamless in-app UX: Wallets are created and transactions are signed securely in the user’s browser, reducing integration time and eliminating custom backend logic.

Fast, secure authentication out-of-the-box

Onboarding and authentication can make or break a crypto wallet experience. Traditional approaches often demand heavy backend setup, complex key management, and endless configuration. Para removes this friction with a secure, out-of-the-box approach to user auth and key management. The Para developer portal provides security-first defaults so teams can manage sessions, enable 2FA, and configure OAuth/social logins without building everything from scratch.

  • Built-in passkeys: Para supports one click social logins, OTP-based two-factor authentication, and even passkey sign-ins. You can easily enable a variety of auth methods with no custom infrastructure.
  • Non-custodial key management: Users never have to handle private keys. Para’s distributed MPC architecture secures every wallet behind the scenes, so signing in feels as simple as a Web2 app while remaining fully non-custodial. Sensitive keys are never stored in one place or exposed to your front-end.

Automate onchain transactions

As Tempo’s high-speed payment rails go live, Para makes it easy to integrate and automate stablecoin transactions programmatically. Developers can treat Tempo just like any other supported chain in Para: sending payments and moving liquidity while Para handles the heavy lifting behind the scenes.

  • Stablecoin payments made easy: Trigger onchain transfers, payroll payouts, remittances, or merchant disbursements on Tempo via Para’s permissions, without building custom payment infrastructure.
  • Bridged liquidity and on/off-ramps: Moving value between Tempo and other networks is frictionless with Para. The platform provides support for fiat to stablecoin flows, plus bridges and on/off-ramps to connect Tempo’s stablecoin economy with the rest of the world. Whether you need to bridge assets from Ethereum to Tempo or cash out to fiat, Para’s wallet infrastructure has it covered.
  • Built for scale: Tempo is engineered for speed, and so is Para. The platform delivers sub-second transaction signing and high reliability even as volume grows. Para’s infrastructure has been battle-tested in production, it’s regularly audited, and powers live apps and ecosystems handling millions of transactions.

Tempo is unlocking a new era of stablecoin payment rails, and Para is providing wallet infrastructure and security to build on top. We’re proud to support Tempo’s launch and excited to see what you will build with these combined tools.
