Account Linking is Live: Connect Socials, Wallets, and Context 🖇️
Link wallets, socials, and emails to create a unified user identity across apps
TL;DR:
1) Link wallets, socials, and emails to create a unified user identity across apps
2) Display names, PFPs, and reputation instead of hex addresses to personalize UX
3) Enrich your app's identity layer with context-aware profiles, without compromising privacy with Para's SDKs

Crypto identity is fractured. Wallets tell part of the story: a user's assets, activity, onchain reputation, but that’s just one layer. Social handles, community memberships, and web2 identity are just as important.

Para’s new account linking feature brings it all together.

Users can now link wallets, socials, and email in a few taps – giving your app access to a unified identity graph for richer context and personalization.

Why Account Linking Matters for Universal Embedded Wallets

Link social logins and existing wallets for richer profiles.

Account linking unlocks a lot for apps building with Para – both for user experience and ecosystems. For your users:

  • One profile: Let users bring their Discord PFP, Twitter handle, and wallet reputation to your app.
  • Build a complete identity: Connect multiple accounts to build a single, persistent identity.
  • Control what you share: Linked accounts can be reviewed or disconnected at any time.

Say a user logs in with their existing Metamask wallet and links a Gmail account. Para account linking unifies that activity under one identity, giving your app more context without needing multiple logins or redundant UX. You can choose to show usernames and profile pictures instead of a wallet address, instantly making wallet onboarding feel more familiar.

Account linking expands Para wallets from a signing tool into a dynamic identity layer, connecting wallets, socials, and reputation into one cohesive profile. Whether users onboard through an external wallet like Coinbase Wallet, a Solana embedded wallet via social login, or return via their previously created account, they can now carry more context, history, and personalization into every session.

During this flow, Para ensures that only the data your app explicitly requests is shared, based on scoped permissions. Once a user links their account, identity data is immediately available via the SDK, so you can personalize your UX without any additional setup.

And for ecosystems building on Para, account linking unlocks new ways to understand your users. It can be extended in multiple ways:

  • Surface your most valuable users: Score accounts based on how much context is linked
  • Stronger identity graphs power smarter growth: Reach the right users
  • Break the silos: See past one-wallet snapshots and understand users more holistically

Account linking gives ecosystems building on Para wallet infrastructure the ability to enrich user profiles, run smarter analytics, and build real user loyalty.

As of June 2025, Account Linking is now part of Para's core stack.

Available Now

Account linking is now available to all apps built with Para.

Social data is only retrieved when a user chooses to link an account – and it's only shared within the specific app where linking is enabled. It doesn't carry across apps, even though Para wallets are universal. As we expand the identity layer, we're being thoughtful about how to add more context without compromising privacy or user control.

As with all Para features, account linking is fully non-custodial by design. Users stay in control, with consent required at every step.
